These images were made in October 2024 during an artist residency at Appomattox Court House National Park in Appomattox, Virginia. As a partnership with the National Park Service, being the park's first artist-in-residence was a true honor. As someone who has worked within the NPS and who has family connections to Appomattox, I was able to spend my time exploring the park's heritage, and my own familial connection to the region.
