Scenes from an Estonian Kolkhoz

I recently visited an open air museum in Estonia, which interprets farms from different eras of Estonian history. It was one of the best museums I’ve ever been to, and it’s dedication to authenticity is incredible. Interestingly, at the end of the park there is a building that shows what living in an Estonian Kolkhoz building would have looked like. It shouldn’t be surprising to find this there, as the people that lived in these small apartment buildings worked on collective farms set up under communist agrarian systems and this was, after all, a museum about farm life.
